One of the most exciting parts of pregnancy is making important decisions, such as choosing a name, picking nursery colors, and selecting the best doctor and hospital for your delivery. When you choose to have your baby at Coosa Valley Medical Center, you’re opting for a comfortable, home-like atmosphere paired with advanced medical care. You’ll have access to experienced, board-certified obstetricians, neonatologists, skilled nurses, and lactation consultants—all committed to ensuring the health and well-being of both mom and baby.

Our Labor and Delivery unit provides a comforting and supportive environment for expectant mothers. We feature a 11-bed unit, including rooms for both labor and postpartum care, as well as a Nursery for newborns. Our experienced team of nurses, physicians, and specialists are here to ensure a safe and personalized birthing experience for you and your family.

Rooming-In for New Moms

We encourage the "rooming-in" option, where your baby stays with you in your room during your hospital stay. This option promotes bonding, supports breastfeeding, and helps with infant care after delivery.

Childbirth Education Classes

Our free Childbirth Education classes are designed to prepare you for labor, delivery, and the postpartum experience. We recommend enrolling by 20 weeks of pregnancy for the best experience. For more information or to register, please call (256) 401-4113.

Lactation Support

Share the joy of your new arrival with family and friends through our WebNursery. With your permission, we can post your baby’s hospital photo online so your loved ones can celebrate the newest addition to your family.
