At Coosa Valley Medical Center (CVMC), our Occupational Therapy Department is dedicated to helping individuals regain independence and improve their ability to perform daily activities following illness, injury, or disability. Our licensed occupational therapists employ innovative techniques to assist patients in overcoming obstacles and enhancing their quality of life.
Our Approach
Our occupational therapists collaborate closely with patients and their families to develop personalized treatment plans aimed at restoring independence in activities of daily living. We utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, manual therapy, stretching, and exercises to enhance upper extremity function and overall daily performance.

- Custom Splinting for Hand Injuries: Creating tailored splints to support healing and functionality.
- Lymphedema Treatment: Providing interventions to manage and reduce swelling associated with lymphedema.
- Aquatic Therapy: Utilizing water-based exercises to improve mobility and strength.
- LiteGait Therapy: Employing specialized equipment to assist with gait training and mobility.
