Pastoral Care

At Coosa Valley Medical Center (CVMC), our Department of Pastoral Care is dedicated to providing spiritual care and emotional support to patients, their families, and medical center staff. We honor and respect individuals of all faiths and those with no religious affiliation, ensuring that our services are inclusive and accessible to everyone.

Our Services

  • Spiritual Support: Our chaplain is available to assist patients on their journey toward spiritual and physical wholeness, offering compassionate listening and guidance tailored to individual beliefs and needs.
  • Emotional Support: We provide a comforting presence during times of stress, illness, or grief, helping patients and families navigate the emotional challenges associated with healthcare experiences.
  • Liaison to Faith Communities: The Director of Pastoral Care serves as a bridge to local faith communities, assisting area churches in establishing and strengthening their health ministries. Local ministers and lay caregivers from a wide spectrum of denominations volunteer in our hospital, enriching the diversity and depth of our services.

We have a chaplain on campus, ready to provide support in various settings, including:
