Each year, the Foundation awards a generous scholarship to support students pursuing a career in clinical healthcare. Thanks to the dedication and generosity of our community donors, this opportunity helps bridge financial needs while fostering the growth of future healthcare professionals. Applications open each Spring. 

The Betty Grier Gallaher Memorial Scholarship was created in loving memory of a nurse who dedicated over four decades to caring for patients and team members at Coosa Valley Medical Center. Betty served in many roles, but her heart always led her back to the bedside—mentoring young nurses, working midnight shifts, and exemplifying what it means to truly care.

This scholarship is awarded annually to nursing students who share Betty’s passion for patient care and have a desire to serve at CVMC. Applications open each Spring.
